Juli 1990Het kruis op de top van de Grubigstein.Tekstvak: July 1990: Along with my father, I reached the summit of the Grubigstein, it truly was a moment to never forget. From the summit, you get a beautiful view of the valley and the Zugspitze. The climb from the Grubighütte to the cross doesn’t take that long, on the picture above you can see the footpath that takes you to the summit. On the right you can see me standing in front of the cross. I never expected it to be that big. So you see how big mountains really are. This moment had such an impact on me that, 16 years later, I’m dedicating this website to the Grubigstein. In the meantime I got married and have a daughter. When she’s old enough I hope I can take this walk with her, so she can experience the same feeling. In the eyes of the real mountaineers this is probably a hill or a giant mole-hill, but for me this is a beautiful memory. Anyway, it gives a lovely feeling… The Top : 2255 m
