At 1340 metres above sea level you reach the mountain station of the Hochmooslift. (photo below)

 

If you want to go up towards the summit, it is best you ski to the drag lift, which lies about 100 metres below.

This will take you to the valley station of the Grubigalmbahn and the second part of the Hochmooslift.

 

The alternative is that you have to go up 20 metres or so, with your ski or snowboard.

 

Taking this lift surely isn’t a waste of time!

The Hochmooslift is a one-person chairlift, as can be seen on the picture. On the way you can enjoy beautiful views of the mountaintop, the ski runs, and if you look back: the Zugspitze.

 

 

The Hochmoos lift is one of the two ski lifts which bring you to the mittelstation on the Grubigstein. The other lift is called the Grubigsteinlift.

The valley station of this ski lift lies right next to the hotel Bellevue in Lermoos.

There’s a car park next to the lift, but if this one is full, you can park your car a little bit further nearby a farm.
