Sesselbahn Schihütte:

this valley station is situated at 1686 metres high.

This is a 2-person chairlift which brings you to the “Schihütte”, a small cabin near the mountain station of this lift.

From here you can only take the red or blue ski slopes. The blue ski slope takes you back to the valley station. You can see it on the picture on the far right.

We haven’t had to wait very long yet, as you can see on the picture you only have to wait a few minutes top.

Like all ski lifts on the Grübigstein, there’s a handsfree zone, so you don’t have to take out your ski pass to be able to enter the lift.

Getting in this lift can really be fast and hard. Not-experienced skiers might consider asking to slow down the lift or really pay attention. The chairs tend to come faster than you expect.

I have also been took by surprise.

There can be a real bleak wind when you’re out of the trees. Especially in the middle of the winter, when the sun isn’t really warm yet.

On the next page you can find some pictures we took on our way up.

Enjoy your virtual trip going up >>
